(2023) - Google HQ Atlanta

Google reached out to me about creating a Rhyme Capsule sculpture encapsulating Georgia musical artists for their brand new 31 story skyscraper in Atlanta. Google revealed in a blog post, “Inspired by the city’s legacy for social change, our office was designed as an homage to the people of Atlanta, with each floor an ode to Atlanta’s cultural, musical and artistic history.”

In 2020 I created “Rhyme Capsule”, a 1,200lb marble and crystal boombox sculpture showcased at ComplexCon, DesignerCon. I also made smaller crystal boombox only versions showcased at Art Basel Miami, the Hip-Hop Museum in NYC and 8 art galleries in the US and Canada. – RhymeCapsule.com

3 ACRYLIC PAINTED CASSETTE TAPE BOOMBOX THEMED SET

One of the boomboxes has 3 removable cassettes that can be played on the walkman that hangs on the wall next to the art.

The plaque reads:

In the early 90’s Atlanta had an explosion of ground-breaking music and artists. Three cassette singles from that era have been selected, look for yellow dots on the blue boombox. The tapes are removable and can be played in the walkman provided. Feel free to experience the analog-ness here at the installation! Please return tapes when finished.
